  • How can I donate to receive a Gift Adoption Card?
    Go to www.worldwildlife.org/gifts and select the "Get a Gift Adoption Card!" button. Or type in www.worldwildlife.org/giftadoptioncard. From here you will be able to select which card design you'd like and the amount of cards in your order. Next you'll have the option to enter a personal greeting for your recipient that will appear in the actual package you or your recipient receives. Personal greetings cannot be customized when shipping to multiple addresses within one order. Next you'll enter your shipping and billing information along with your email address so that you can receive order and shipping confirmation emails. Hit "Submit Order" and you will receive a Thank You screen with order confirmation number for tracking purposes.
  • How much is a card?
    You can receive a Gift Adoption Card for a $50 donation only.
  • What is the card available for?
    Your recipient can use the card to select a thank you Symbolic Animal Adoption at the $50 level only at: www.worldwildlife.org/giftadoption. There are nearly 100 species to choose from.
  • How will my recipient redeem the Gift Adoption Card online to choose their animal?
    They can go online to www.worldwildlife.org/giftadoption and click on the species they would like to receive as their thank-you gift. Once they have picked the species, enter a "1" in the $50 adoption box and click the orange button that says "Add to cart". Then enter shipping information and select "Same as Billing". Choose the "Gift Adoption Card" payment method towards the bottom of the screen. Enter the 19 digit number and 4 digit scratch off pin number on the back of the card and hit "Apply Gift Adoption Card".
  • What will my recipient receive?
    The symbolic animal adoption they select will include the following items:
    • High resolution photograph of the species adopted.
    • (Non-personalized) Certificate of adoption for the species adopted.
    • Animal Fact sheet for species adopted.
    • Plush likeness of species adopted.
    • Species Spotlight card for the animal adopted.
    • Free USPS Priority Shipping.
  • How quickly will my recipient's Symbolic Animal Adoption arrive?
    Symbolic Animal Adoption packages are shipped via free USPS priority shipping. Estimated delivery time is 1-2 weeks from when the order is placed.
  • How quickly will the Gift Adoption Card(s) arrive at the address I selected?
    Gift Adoption Cards are normally sent via free USPS 1st class mail. Cards ordered before 2 pm are shipped that day; if after 2 pm, they ship the next morning. Cards will arrive in an estimated 3-10 days from the shipping date. If you select one of the 3 Fedex shipping options, Ground, 2Day or Overnight, then shipping time will depend on which option you choose and you will be able to track your Gift Adoption Card through Fedex. If you provide an email address in your order you will receive an email shipping confirmation when the card(s) ship.
  • How can I find information about my Gift Adoption Card?
    • Check your confirmation email and shipping emails for card and shipping details.
    • You can go to www.wwfgiftadoptioncard.com and select "Card Inquiries" on the homepage. Have your 19 digit card number ready to enter.
    • Call 1-866-898-4020 and have your 19 digit card number ready. This is an automated system that will guide you to find information about your Gift Adoption Card.
  • How can I find shipping information about the card?
    • Check your confirmation email and shipping emails for card and shipping details.
    • You can go to www.wwfgiftadoptioncard.com and select "Shipping Inquiries" on the homepage. Have your 5 digit confirmation number ready to enter. This confirmation number was provided in the Thank you screen and in your confirmation email.
    • Call 1-866-898-4020 and have your 19 digit card number ready. This is an automated system that will guide you to find information about your Gift Adoption Card.
    • For those who select one of the 3 Fedex shipping choices, Fedex shipping tracking information can be found at www.fedex.com.
  • Are Gift Adoption Cards redeemable for any other gifts or donations?
    No. Gift Adoption Cards are only valid for $50 animal adoptions from the Adoption Center at www.worldwildlife.org/giftadoption.
  • Do Gift Adoption Cards have any stored value on them?
    No, there is no value on the card. The card is sent as a thank-you for a $50 charitable donation that has already been made.
  • Will I get a tax receipt?
    Yes. Your $50 charitable donation is tax deductible to the extent of the law. World Wildlife Fund will send you a tax receipt for your $50 charitable donation within 2 weeks of your donation.
  • Can I cancel my order of a Gift Adoption Card?
    No. A Gift Adoption Card is sent as a thank-you for a $50 donation and cannot be canceled.
  • Can I get a refund for my Gift Adoption Card if I am unhappy with it?
    No. A Gift Adoption Card is sent as a thank-you for a $50 donation. We are unable to process a refund for the donation.
  • What are the accepted payment methods for a Gift Adoption Card donation?
    The Gift Adoption Card is only available through credit card donation - Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover are accepted. We cannot accept checks for Gift Adoption Cards. Please visit our website at www.worldwildlife.org/giftadoptioncard which will direct you to www.wwfgiftadoptioncard.com where you can order the cards and enter your credit card information.
  • May I choose more than one card design in my order?
    Yes, you may select up to four different card designs in your order.
  • Can you send the card(s) to more than one address?
    No, we can only send cards in one order to one address. If you would like to send cards to multiple addresses you must place separate orders.
  • Can I order a Gift Adoption Card if I my billing address is outside the US?
    No we can only accept credit cards with a US billing addresses for donations for Gift Adoption Cards. However, if you would like to order a gift adoption through our Online Giving www.worldwildlife.org/gifts you may use a credit card with an international billing address and/or choose to ship the adoption package to an international address.
  • Can I send my Gift Adoption Card to an address outside the US?
    No we can only ship Gift Adoption Cards to US postal addresses. However, if you would like to order a gift adoption through our Online Giving Center www.worldwildlife.org/gifts you may use a credit card with an international billing address and/or choose to ship the adoption package to an international address.
  • Can I send a personalized message with my order?
    Yes, in a 1-4 card order. After selecting card type and quantity you will have the opportunity to add a personalized message that will be printed on WWF letterhead and be shipped with your order. We can only include one customized message per card order.
  • What is the difference between an individual order and a bulk order?
    Select to place an individual order if you'd like to donate for 1-4 cards. For 5 or more cards place a bulk order. Once you have selected to place either an individual or a bulk order you must finish that particular order before placing another type of order. For example you cannot choose to place a bulk order and also add an individual order for 1-4 cards. The two different order types must be completed in separate transactions.
  • What is bulk packaging?
    For bulk card orders between 5- 50 cards each Gift Adoption Card package will come already assembled- gift adoption card in carrier with mini catalog inside. For bulk card orders of 51 cards and more the cards will arrive in bulk packaging. In bulk packaging each component of the Gift Adoption Card package (cards, carriers, and mini catalogs) will arrive bundled together separate from the other components in plastic secured with rubber bands.
